An ownable and accessible creative treatment within the post-punk genre.
The Project
Birdsville are a three-piece rock band that blur the lines of punk, post-punk, emo, indie and grunge.
This visual concept takes its inspiration from the heartfelt and thoughtful Birdsville lyrics. Just as the coarse emo screams contrasts and compliments the lead vocals, this visual direction paints Birdsville as an imaginary dreamy pastel place that is purposefully in contrast to the distorted guitar, gravel bass tones and sharp drum sounds.
Imagery is devoid of people, encouraging the viewer to place themselves in the scene and amplifies the potential for broad appeal with a look that is ownable and accessibility beyond the post-punk genre.
Responsibilities
Art Direction
Creation of unique art direction that enable simple execution with minimal time and budget across album artwork, social assets and advertising.
Video Direction & Editing
Directing, editing and animating music videos, each with their own individual aesthetic inspired by song content.
Advertising & Merch
Roll out of gig and single release advertising along with custom made merchandise and screen printed T-shirt designs.
